Bio
TS Brooks has called Berlin, Germany residence for the last couple of years. The California born singer/songwriter first toured Germany in 2009 after the release of his debut album, 'Tertiary Allotment Is A Delightfulness' (Snowstorm Music), and hasn't stopped since. Having now included to the list Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, Brooks continues to tour, write and record, bringing out new albums along the way.

In his erstwhile project, Minmae, who recorded 10 full-length albums in as many years, Brooks mixed Byrds-like jangle-pop with sonic detours into psych, drone, and experimentalism. Brooks' new music virtually eschews all instrumentation, and his live shows are intimate and sincere, imposing focus on the stories, recollections, observations, and appeals that make up his lyrical universe. Hinting at Americana and modern folk, his voice straddles somewhere between Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, and and the late Vic Chesnutt.

Brooks' first album, ‘Tertiary Allotment Is A Delightfulness’ was released on San Francisco’s Snowstorm Music in 2009, circulating throughout the indie-folk underground on both sides of the Atlantic. Comprising almost entirely of acoustic guitar and Brooks’ haunting vocals, the album reflects influences such as Robyn Hitchcock, Lou Barlow, Ray Charles, and Cat Power.

Poignant, yet direct performances bespeak his talent for soaring melodies and solid musicianship. Truly in a league of his own, Brooks ought not be missed.
